Crimson celebrations

This is the first national day parade we’ve watched for a while since our posting to London and back home. It’s hard not to feel celebratory when the Hubby is actually born on Singapore’s national day! With a 5-and-half month old, it was tricky to get a decent handmade birthday gift but I managed to get it 90% completed!

Thanks to a recommendation by my fellow crafty friend KCC some time ago, I started a Project Life album to chronicle (albeit in fast forward fashion) the days we sailed on the Clipper Race to our dating days, culminating in the marriage proposal and our explorations around Europe when we were posted abroad. It was a challenging task as I sieved through thousands of photos but I also enjoyed reminiscing those carefree days and recalling those wonderful times and feelings we shared to be recorded in our album. Am quite pleased with self.

Anyway, it is coincidental that I am starting a new project with the red and white of our flag. It happens to be the colours requested of a friend who has ‘ordered’ a pair of crocheted booties for her lovely little one. Hope to finish it before we meet later this month for a durian feast!
